i went to do laundry and when i came back and picked up my headphones there was a shock and my headphones audio got messed up. It also messed up my blue yeti's audio and when i plug earbuds into the front audio jack the audio sounds like its underwater. What do I do to fix this? Do I have to get a new motherboard?

Solution
Do you have any other USB devices that you can test via the problem USB ports?

Is the following link the Quick Start Guide applicable to your microphone?

https://s3.amazonaws.com/cd.bluemic.com/pdf/yeti-nano/Yeti_Nano_QuickStart_REV_C_EN.pdf

If I follow correctly, your earbuds work when plugged into the microphone's headphone output ( audio 3.5mm jack) - correct? And the microphone is plugged into the computer via a USB port - correct?

Try mapping out the problem, for example:

Earbuds to microphone audio 3.5 mm jack = no hiss.

Earbuds to computer USB jack = hiss.

Headphones to microphone 3.5 mm jack = hiss

Headphones to computer USB jack = hiss.

Do other USB peripherals work in the tested USB ports? Likewise map out...

Hopefully not.

Try your headphones and earbuds in other audio jacks.

Try your headphones on other known working audio sources.

Try other known working headphones and earbuds.

Try booting into safe mode and reinstalling audio drivers.

Objective is to narrow down the source/location of the problem.

I think there is just a short in the audio jack because I got my earbuds to work. My USB's might be messed up because when I plug my headphones into them it makes a hissing sound. I have a blue yeti and when i plug earbuds into them they have to hissing sound too.

Not sure what may have been damaged and what may be the extent of the damage.
