[SOLVED] static flashes

Hello all, so not sure if it is a graphics card issue or a monitor problem but i notice that my monitor flashes static for brief second with no sound. It does it for a few times then stops for a while then shows up again. I temporary fix i found is to remove the HDMI cable from the computer for a few seconds then plug it back in. But like i said it is temporary. My monitor is ASUS brand my graphics card is EVGA 1060 GTX.

Do you have onboard graphics you can switch to? If you can switch to onboard graphics you can see if it is a gpu thing, or something else. If it goes away with onboard graphics then you can narrow it down to the gpu or gpu drivers.
