Static in mic that wasn't there before.

So I recently bought the Hyperx gaming cloud headset and the mic was working fine (without static), but now (3 days later) static is present as my friend pointed out. I have lowered the decibel boost to decrease the problem (now like a mosquito like sound).

Any reasons why this could be?

It started happening when I was using a program called OBS if that helps.

OBS is known to cause static. This has been an issue for quite some time. Both the developers and users have found fixes over time, usually not without compromise of some sort however. I would provide links and references, but if you type obs static into google you get a ton of links, a few youtube videos, generally a wide plethora of opinions and solutions.
