Hi
I've an Ethernet LAN network without connection to the Internet. The LAN consists of a CCTV-DVR, a D-Link Dir 632 Router and a Laptopcomputer. Now my questions: If the DVR is unplugged or there is a power outage, the router might assign an other IP address to the DVR. I was thinking to assign a static IP address to the DVR. In doing so, do I need to set up only the DVR with a static Ip address or has the D-Link router to be set up with a static IP address (for the DVR) as well? Or will it work with the dynamic IP addresses?
And an other question: If I would need a connection to the Internet, to have remote access, then the router needs to be set for Port Forwarding?
Thanks for advice
