Hi Guys

I have just received my new computer. Everything is going great apart from the fact that when I am using Skype there is a loud static noise coming from my microphone.

Here is my specs
Ryzen 2600
16gb ddr4 3200 ram
600w PSU - Segotep
Motherboard - Gigabyte B450M
RX 580 8gb GPU

I am using a headset using the analog plugs and not USB.

I had no problems on my previous computer but when listening to my voice back on Skype there is a loud static and crackling sound coming from my microphone.
I use Skype and my headset for my teaching job so it is really important I get this sorted.

I have turned my microphone boost down to 0 and played around with many other settings but nothing has worked.

Update - I purchased a USB headset but the same problem occurred.

I look forward to your replies.

Thanks

Kane.

Solution
It can be very common for vibration from another component can cause this residual "static" like noise to audio devices. Usually it can be subtle vibration from the PSU.
