Static or distortion in music

Hello,
I'm getting intermittant distortion in my music. Track 1 may have static this time, but next time it may not have any????
I've checked the speaker wires. They seem ok. They are BOSE with a base module..

did u try with simple speakers? did u update the sound card drivers?
