Static question help

Hi guys i was working on my pc case earlier receving my new parts monday and the front header cable fell on carpet can you get static in cables ie psu the front header cables or sata

almost certainly not. and the quick way to defuse the issue is to grab the handful of front case wires in your bare hand, then touch the metal case of the computer with your other bare hand. You've just neutralized everything, and all is good in the world.

Static electricity does not work like that.
If it did, "carpet" would not exist, anywhere.
