Hello, so I have this problem at work where I can walk about 10 feet and have enough of a static charge that it has turned my computer fuzzy and also has reset my keyboard (razer blackwidow x). What can I make that I can touch that would ground me so I can safely touch my computer without this being a risk?

Ask me any questions you want, I need a solution sooner than later.

Thank You

FYI, static buildup occurs more often in low humidity environments. Assuming the electric shocks for the moment aren't because if static, but rather an un-earthed AC outlet connection, you'll definitely want to get that checked out with building maintenance.

+1 to touching anything else that's grounded. You can probably get an idea of what else is grounded around your desk by experimenting. Walk around such that you probably have a static charge, and they try touching various things (that aren't likely to be ESD sensitive) to see if you discharge. I had this problem at home, and I found that my monitor stand/base was grounded such that I could discharge myself by touching it.
