Static sound whenever my computer plays audio

Hi lately I have been experiencing a static sound whenever my laptop plays audio. It is an old computer, so maybe that is the issue but it doesn't happen when I watch netflix. All other audio is messed up, so I'm not sure what to do.

Here's a strange proposition for a strange issue. Whatever media you get your audio from when not watching Netflix try it from a different player. For example, if it's Windows Media Player, try Real Player. Find another player and see if you have the same issue.

another proggram is stuck in it do a disk clean-up will fix it
