Randomly when I boot up there are static squares (kinda like the static u see on a tv) in a or sometimes just distortion of the color all over the display in a checkered pattern. It goes away after i reboot or sometimes just on its own. Does that mean my gpu is bad as it's still pretty new as i bought it last winter. Everything is set to its stock settings. If not is there any other parts that could be the cause? Thanks.

Solution
Best way to tell is to test the card in another system. Could be a driver issue (unless this happens before Windows loads), heat issue, power supply issue.
