Is it possible for static electricity to travel through my peripherals like monitor, mouse, headset, or keyboard and damage my pc parts like the mobo that I have them plugged into?

I've never heard of that ever happening. Maybe if you were somehow touching some sort of exposed electronics inside of one of those components, but that would probably mean it's damaged in some way and you shouldn't be using it in the first place. Maybe it's possible but I sincerely doubt it.

If you're worried about sitting down, putting your hand on your mouse to start using your computer, and frying the whole thing because you weren't wearing an ESD wrist strap or something, I wouldn't worry about that happening.

I mean through normal use.
