Stay away from Monarch

I've tried to be positive and supportive of Monarch, but seriously, unless you want to get treated like crap and have nil when it comes to service, go somewhere else.

I was the one telling my friends 'no, its not their fault, its a hardware defect', well, after replacing two motherboards myself, then having to RMA the whole system (PSU fried the motherboard & memory)...after waiting 3 weeks to get a response to my RMA request, mailing it to them, them receiving it Oct. 10, 2006, they finally finished fixing it and mailed it on Dec. 1. Keep in mind, it took them almost two months to get the PSU, MB & memory replaced -- these are stock parts, Asus P5n32, 1 gig Patriot sticks, liberty 620 PSU -- this is only a 9 month old system.

Oh yes, the kicker, they mailed it to the billing address (Missouri), not the shipping address (NYC), even though the original system, replacement MB's, RMA s/h sticker were all sent to the correct address. I tried contacting them Friday evening to inform them of the mix-up, before UPS had even picked the box up from them...and I still haven't received a response (nor has the package/shipping changed). One more note, I called, left a message on tech support VM, general VM, sales VM...their 24/7 line is dead...I emailed 3 addresses there...i submitted the online form...and tried posting in their forum (but I'm blocked there now bc I asked the status on my RMA...even tempered, respectful in my responses). Not a *single* response -- if they would've had someone around this whole thing could have been fixed before the box even left their offices!

Summary: Taking your money and running is quite applicable here. I would say to 'avoid it like the plague', but even the plague stays clear of this one...
 
A geek friend of mine in USA had a bad experience with this company. He told me a horror story, and I second what you said in your post. AVOID!
 
Wow.. I made a huge purchase from them this past summer and I'm glad I didn't run into any big problems. Although I remember shipping was pretty slow. Will keep this in mind for future reference though.
