The performance when playing avi,wmv is awful/painful, there are black squares (ghost images) on the screen, just like the disk can't delivere the data fast enough or something else??
NB: I had an USB Maxtor OneTouch with a 500G old 7200rpm seagate with no problem.

I tried WD Advanced alignement tools, I tried to create small partitions, neither it helps.

Maybe I should order a Samsung Spinpoint F4 at the first place, why did I go after the "greeny" one??

In stead of through my 100$ (plus P&P) away I used it for my new C:\
nb1: no more ghost images when using it internal.

nb2: the speed for both internal & external is about 60MB/s. (Vista on dual core with 4GB ram)
