Stay with current monitor or get a new one

So as of right now I have the Asus vg248qe 144hz monitor. I was wondering if I should get an ultra wide. I dont know if I should just stick with what I have or look at getting a 4k ultra wide, or look at getting a 144hz ultra wide. Whats your guy's thoughts?

thats a pretty gud monitor u have there...changing screen is more of a personal choice and u shd do it only if u feel like the current one is inadequate...but changing to another simple 144hz because its ultra wide doesnt make sense unless, say u r going to 32" from 24"...if u really wanna change, better go for 4k as its the nest thing...but ur hardware also shd have the capacity to support the same...

I have the hardware, and I know where your coming from about just upgrading because its ultrawide. But I want to know if the benefits of 144hz gaming is better that what you get from 4k gaming with say a lower refresh rate.

yes...it is better..becoz in real time the occupancy of the screen is not going to matter in the long runn as much as the quality of image...
