Question Steam Client Webhelper high GPU usage ?

Hi there,

I bought a game on steam last night, and i was i closing out the purchase i noticed on MSI Afterburner that the GPU clock was ramped up to load levels as though i were gaming.

I checked in the task manager, and Steam Client Webhelper was using around 40% of the GPU. It would then go down to nothing, only to pop back up again about 15-20 seconds later.

Restarted the machine and it stopped, ran a virus scan and got nothing back.

Any ideas?

GPU is a faithful ol' 1080Ti and CPU is an i9-9900k

In steam settings, interface, uncheck enable hardware accelerated rendering in web views. See if this helps.
