Steam connection problem.

my total internet throughput when only streaming 720p video is 2.6Mb/s constantly.

my total internet throughput when only downloading a game while set to offline on steam goes to 1.7Mb/s for 6 seconds, then drops to 0 for 6 seconds. (can't see friends but I can still download games and go to the store page).

There are around 300 hosts, or ip's for steam content servers or hosts in general that my client has connected to in the past.

I have followed all of the troubleshooting steps I can find to try to solve this issue but to no use.

Basically, it is impossible for me to download my games right now. Steam is only using about half of my bandwidth at a time, around 150KB/s for around 6 seconds, before it stops for another 6 seconds. It makes me think that it's because steam is changing which servers its downloading from so often.

I ran a download for 7 hours last night and it only downloaded 400MB in total, with nothing else on the network. ON A 3Mb/s CONNECTION!

I've tried changing download servers from the steam options but nothing helps.

I've port forwarded what steam needs to use.

I have no idea on what else to do, I've been using steam for so long and I have had this problem for the last 4 or more months. But I never used steam support because of all of the bad rep it gets. So this might be my last option to try to fix the issue.

so in other words you paid for games you now cant use ?? and why I never support any game that requires a 3ed party or internet connection to load or play .. not fully on the disk = no sale

I guess that's why folks say steam/uplay/origin is so great and the best funny all my good old hard copy games work fine no 3ed party no internet required no nothing but me the disk and a computer . never have to rely on some one else to do so [lol]

looks like your getting what you paid for .. nothing right now whats the point in all that mess ?? in the end you got nothing with out them , right ?? sad

I guess see if your internet is not failing in some way then I guess kiss steams butt until ''they'' decide to let you play ''there''...
