Is xiokia ssd 512 gb as good as the default ssd the 700$ steam deck comes up with? Basically we have to be sure the speed is the same, the sdd health and the compatibility ttoo. For games it's the same or even better i think, but for multitasking and using the linux OS i don't know if it's quite good or not. It's sold in ebay for 60$, it's a greaat deaal, but im not sure if it is 100% hp, they're from laptops or something like this. Another thing, opening up the steam deck would remove the warraanty in european union? https://www.ebay.com/itm/363755276796?hash=item54b18109fc:g:kYQAAOSw7AViJolR

There are 3 different ones.
Make/model?

Whats wrong with the original?
I already said it, the 512 gb ssd version. Basically if you buy a 512 gb ssd from ebaay and the steaam deck 64 gb version you can save up 280 $, there are some tutorials on youtube. That's my plan. For 480$ i will have the 512 gb steaam deck, the only difference will be that the non reflectant screen is not included in this steam deck, neitther in the 256 gb that it's 550$, so anyway it's a pretty good idea.

No, you never made it clear exactly what you were doing.

https://store.steampowered.com/steamdeck#SaleSection_24468

64 GB eMMC (PCIe Gen 2 x1)
256 GB NVMe SSD (PCIe Gen 3 x4 or PCIe Gen 3 x2*)
512 GB high-speed NVMe SSD (PCIe Gen 3 x4 or PCIe Gen 3 x2*)

The question then is...is the socket the same between the 64GB eMMC (Gen 2 x1) and the other 2?
Or is it only the drive that is different.
I do not know.

The Kioxio drive you specified is OK...nothing special.

I wanted to know how the experience was for users that did this, i guess that it's too specific and not many deck users use this forum. Yes, it's exactly the same socket, the consoles are the same except the 512 gb version that has a different anti reflection screen.
