I recently purchased an OLED 1TB steam deck. It works great in handheld mode, but when I try to project it on my TV, I have problems. I am using all of the hardware it came with. Stock parts, dock, and cables. The only thing I provided myself is an HDMI cable to plug into the TV.
When I try to project it onto the TV, the TV and Deck will just go black, no sound or picture. The only way I have been able to make it work is to turn the steam deck on, turn the tv on, plug the steam deck into the dock, then unplug the power cable from the wall to the dock. Only then, will the picture show up on the TV, and from then, it works perfectly fine. If I then plug the power cable back into the dock, it still continues to work, but i have to unplug it first for it to project at all.
Is there a workaround here, because this whole plugging and unplugging nonsense is annoying. Thank you in advance and please let me know if more info is required.
