Hello there sirs and madams. Problem is my computer shutdowns (like I pull the plug) and restarts while playing graphic intensive steam games. I bought Mad Max on steam and I couldn't play for 15 minutes before this happens. First I thought its a overheat issue from GPU but it was 70c top. [strike]Then I downloaded a pirate copy of the game and it works flawless on very high 60 fps.[/strike] This issue does not happen only with this game. Lords of the Fallen, Dawn of War II, Warhammer 40k Space Marine, The Forest and even Dota 2 if I max the graphic settings. Please help me because I have no idea what is going on with my computer. My specs are:
Intel i5 4690k
16GB DDR3 RAM
Asus Z97-Pro gamer
Asus GTX980 Rog Strix
Xigmatek talon black vector 80plus silver 750w.

I don't pirate because I like it or support it sir. I just wondered if that would make a difference and it did. The thing is when I manually set my fans to %75 it takes longer for my pc to shut down (except I've seen shutdowns when it's 45 degrees only while I'm gaming) . But on the other hand I can play Mad Max or Stars Wars Battlefront Beta on very high - ultra settings without setting my fans manually.

This could very well be caused by a poor quality or failing PSU. It could also be outdated drivers or games requiring patches/updates.

In this case, I lean towards the PSU as being the culprit as it seems to have issues when under the greatest load. Are you OCing anything (CPU, memory, GPU)? If so, revert back to stock speeds and see if that helps stabilize the system.

Well I'm not OCing anything. I don't even know how to do it. Even if it's OCed I wouldn't even know. When it comes to PSU, can I see what's wrong with it if I test it? And it's not about games needing updates or anything, they are all on "always update" in steam.
