Steam Games launch, but go directly to taskbar.

So I bought a few games during the Steam Sale, and 3 of them so far are not working. These games are State of Decay (gift), Nether, and DLC Quest. State of Decay and DLC Quest launch, but minimize itself and goes down to the taskbar. When I try and click it, I get a black/white screen for half a second and it goes back.

Nether launches fine, but as soon as I get to the server selection, it is unbearably laggy, so much to the point where I can't even move the mouse. Nether is running on DX 9 if it is of any help. If anyone can help me get these games working, it would be much appreciated.

First off, try doing a reinstall of the games through steam. Also try a Game validation check (verify Game Cache Files).
Try restarting your computer.
Make sure windows knows which monitor/s you are using, as the game may think you are using a 2nd one. Go to display settings to see if thats the case.
(Windows) use your mouse and hover over the game in the taskbar, right-click, and hit maximize.

More information is needed to fix this problem if the above didn't. What OS are you using, what are your computer's specs, are you using other programs at the same time, etc.
