Hello All,
I recently bought a new HDD, a 5tb WD blue for mass storage of my steam, orgin and uplay library. I had all my games spread out on 2 1tb drives. Upon moving everything i set up my 5tb drive with the following folders Steam Games, Orgin Games and Uplay Games. The Uplay Games and Orgin Games Copied easily and were recoverable when i went to install, simple select the directory and verify the files and good to go.
Steam is not going so well and i am drawing a blank... i copied the "steamapps/common/" directory into the 5tb drive and steam is being odd when it comes to selecting the folder and saying the games are uninstalled even though the folder is there and it is selected as my default library. an example of how my drive is setup is like so "ThisPc/5tbHDD/steamlibrary/common/Arma2" from what i gather online this is how it is supposed to be setup and steam should recognize it and say what i installed and what is not installed. I have tried uninstalling steam and reinstalling steam and doing the whole process over again. I really do not want to download everything all over again because thats like 2TB worth of games... Is there anything i can do to get steam to see my games again.
I have tried the select download folder and set it to the steam library folder under my drive and have not gotten any results. I am drawing a blank and just want to get it to work.
Thanks in advance

Solution
Just run the game. It will give you a loaded status immediately after starting the download. Its confusing but it will work.
