Question Steam keeps failing to verify files

Mw3 keeps saying that I have 71 files that fail to verify even after they've been scanned amd repaired. So far I've tried clearing my steam cache, repairing the game, redowloading thhe game .repairing steam library, reinstalling steam, running troubleshooting in settings, and running chkdsk,dism, and sfc in command ... I really don't want to do a clean install of windows do I have any other options ?

Do those files require you to run MW3 cuz usually running the game and seeing if it'll correct itself might be another approach..................

I can still play the game but it lags like crazy and crashes constantly telling me I need to repair files but when I do they recorrupt and nothing I've tried will fix it

The repair files thing is one of the kneejerk actions the console takes. It doesn't actually mean anything is wrong with the files themselves.

Is anything happening in other games or situations on your PC?

If not, go online to a discussion group specific to the game and see if there are commonalities and solutions offered.
Otherwise, you may also consider certain steps to ensure it isn't the PC itself.

Clear in Steam your downloading Cache. Steam will make you resign in FYI and see if you move forward.

I've tried that. After having a couple issues outside of gaming I'm starting to think my be a hardware problem. Could it possibly be my ram configuration is unstable. I have 2 sticks of corsair VENGEANCE RGB 32GB 5600MHz DDR5 cl40 and 2 sticks of TEAMGROUP 32GB D5 6000 C30.. this is my first build and my friend told me mixing them shouldn't cause problems the 6000 would just run a 5600 but after reading more I think he may have been wrong.

Yes, remove one or the other of the mismatched set of RAM and see if stability returns.

It is not a good idea to mix different makes/models of RAM and particularly so if on AMD.

How full is your hard drive ?

Is your drive healthy.

Steam cache.

The three main reasons at least I have delt with when game files go missing and or won't download.

Latest one was dying 8Tb hard drive. Serious Sam 4 would play/ not play. Be missing files. I fix files than rinse and repeat..

I replaced drive all good life goes on. Is this your issue ? Just trying to give you best ideas for solution.

It ended up not being my ram. Ended up running the dism commands again and it said "the store is repairable " and after repair every thing is running fine. I really appreciate all the help.
