Question STEAM Not seeing joystick controllers?

I am trying to find a way to get my joystick to be seen by STEAM. I have tried both a Logitech Extreme 3D pro, and a Thrustmaster T.16000M, and they are not "seen" by steam. Both show up in Windows11 devices, and both work just fine. I have tried a few suggestions (big picture) to no avail.

Does anyone know of a joystick flight controller that STEAM sees?

What error messages, pop-up windows, or other things occur when Steam does not "see" the controllers?

What flight simulator are you trying to run?

Do the flight simulator keyboard based controls work?
