The Steam hardware survey's latest up has shown us that the popularity of six and eight-core CPUs is beginning to compete with dual and quad cores.

Not suprising since AMD put Intel in a bind and they had to finally bring more than 4 cores to be main stream.

I ran with my FX 8320 from 2014 until 2 months ago and now have a Ryzen 5 3600

Oh look. CPU’s released in recent years are growing in numbers. Not exactly a surprise.

Is 50% laptop correct for Steam users?

(And it would also be nice to see an aggregate number for those with 10+ cores in the graphs.)
