i am looking at upgrading cards for my pegatron violet6 motherboard. My hope is to bring my PC up to speed for games like dragon age, last remnant, and elder scrolls.

so i have a 3 part question.
1. will the following gpu work with my board?
2. will the gpu allow me to play these games?
3. which of the GPU's is best?

bonus round:
4. Is there a better GPU for my system?

GeForce GT 610 vs. Radeon HD 6450

Solution
sorry for the delay. busy day.

the gddr makes a huge difference especially when you are talking about moving high quality graphics.

this is a very good brand. not to many great deals out right now.. maybe in a week or two something better might show up.

the r9 270 is a very good card. I personally buy used MSI 7950's (same as r9 280) because they honor the warranty based on the serial number not on a receipt. I bought one for 135 on ebay and then sent it in for repairs and 2 weeks later I had a perfect refurb card.
