steaming on i5

Hi,

I have an i5-4690k processor, and using xsplit to steam my gameplay to youtube/twitch using xsplit. i am unable to stream anything higher than 480 and it always prompt me that cpu currently at high usage normally around 95 ++ is it normal ? how do i get the cpu usage lower cause i am afraid i will damage the cpu :/

here are the pc specs:

i5-4690k
8GB x 2
GTX 970
v750w

Your cpu won't be damaged from high usage, as long as its staying cool that is. Your cpu usage is high because you are attempting to encode video for live streaming at the same time as gaming. Encoding takes a lot of cpu, more as you go higher in resolution. Twitch encodes the video on the fly to get a small enough compression to stream it on the internet. Your situation is why we recommend an i7 to people who encode video. So for now you will be fine, no damage is being done. However in the future you may want to consider changing to the i7 4790k that fits your motherboard.

thank you very much for the information , at that time i didn't thought of streaming as i am new to this . will get an i7 when i upgrade in the future ! :)
