Steam's Preparing to Launch window always opens off-center (Just my annoyance)

Anyone notice when they open a steam game, and the Preparing to launch... grey box pops up before the game window opens?

That box ALWAYS opens slightly in the bottom left of my desktop...
I try to drag it to the center, hoping it will remember my placement of the window, but it always opens in the same off-center location on my desktop.

Just my non-threatening annoyance with Steam. Anyone else have this always happen? Anyone know how to force it to pop-up in the center of the desktop/where I want it too?

Asanine, I know, but it's bothered me for years.

Solution
I think it opens with the top left corner dead center with the screen, but otherwise it's not centered as a like a picture frame would be centered:

It's probably something steam COULD fix, but it's also possible that because the window might not always be the same size they can't get it to be exact dead center.

Nah, it launches fine... just the window never launches in the middle of my desktop and it's annoying

I mean, it's in the middle, but not the absolute center, and I get all OCD.
No matter what I do, it never opens where I want it to, even if I drag the window before the game launches, it opens in the same old spot the next time I open a game.

Steam's probably trying to annoy you. (just kidding)

Have you tried going to steam support in this?

Another solution that might work is to just listen to a piece of music and close your eyes until the game launches. (I really can't think of anything else, sorry.)

Ha, like I said, doesn't hurt anything, other than I know that it does it and I can't change it

Yours seems to open dead center? or can move the window and have it return to the new spot you picked out?

I just opened CS:GO to test and mine seems to open exactly like yours, with the top left corner of the box in the center of my screen, But I'm playing on linux so I can't verify if this is the same for everyone else.

Can't change the spot where it launches either. Maybe it's normal for everyone?

It's been like that for ages, and it hasn't bothered me until tonight xD
Maybe everyone's is like this and at some point everyone notices...
I have no clue, but thanks for the help, and welcome to the new world of Steam OCD...

Solution
i have the exact same problem, except mine is oriented to the bottom right, games that are windowed on launch go down there, even the steam im box and other things get oriented weird, i have tried moving them to where i want them but they go back to where they were before. it has been doing it for a long while and i have no idea why it is doing it or if i did anything to cause it. there doesnt seem to be any options to fix it to default unless it is a command line thing. i would love to have an answer. i already asked on steam's discussion forum for helps and tips and no one had any advice.

my screen resolution is 1360x768.
