Question SteamVR Games Lagging on my Oculus Quest 2... any ideas?

Hello all. So I got the Oculus Quest 2 for my birthday. I don't have many problems when playing Oculus VR games, but when I'm playing Steam VR games on my computer, most games are very laggy, sometimes pixelated, and sometimes just freeze (it happens almost everytime I use SteamVR). I have an i5-10400 cpu, 16GB DDR4-RAM, an Nvidia 1650 GTX 4GB GPU, with a 1TB M.2 SSD and I'm running Windows 10 Home Edition. Any advice please?

Hey there,

Are you using Airlink, or Link cable? It's very bad on Airlink, at least on my home network, even though it's connected to 5g wireless. With link cable it all goes away.

If he's using airlink that is almost definitely the cause. I've had decent luck with airlink but I also have a wifi 6 access point right next to where I play, so I'm in perfect conditions.

I would recommend getting a cable, any USB C to USB cable will do, personally I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BR9DSGC/ and it has served me well. I also have this extender: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AA0U08M/ because my PC is fairly far away from my play space.

Oculus makes a first party version of the cable but frankly it's extremely overpriced and I have had no issues with the cheaper option.
