Steel Series 7G not working

My Steel Series 7G is not working on Intel DH67CL and my Steel series Xai is connecting and disconnecting on this mobo too! Help me!

Test a standard keyboard and mouse, if they fail too its an issue in your motherboard, try reinstalling it's chipset drivers in that case.

And what do you prefer as it seems no technical difference between 6GV2 an 7G. USB port or PS2?

USB since that's the same port your devices use, shouldn't make a difference like you say but there's quite a few threads specially in gaming forums where ppl experience problems with their gaming gear but generic ones work without problems leading them to get their gear changed.

It was the converter, I changed PS2 to USB converter for keyboard and its okay now. But tell me why they released 7G with PS2? and PS2 via USB vs only USB? If mine is okay should I keep using or look for new one?

I wonder the same regarding why they made it PS2, as for PS2 vs USB... PS2 gives you 200hz poll rate while USB 125hz (unless product specifies other value, mouses come with 500+ nowadays), although PS2 is a little faster vs generic USB most likely these products are designed to work at a faster poll rate so go ahead with USB.

See if the problem doesn't raise up again, so the problem on the XAI also disappeared? could be that your PS2 port is having some issues, not a big deal since it's practically a useless port nowadays.

Xai is USB but having other issue like delayed Boot Time on my pc with win 8.1
Tested on Win7 and Win8 no problem. Im gonna test it on other pc with 8.1 if no issue then it must be my win8.1 needs to be reinstall or what it could be?

Didnt get that? if PS2 allows 200Hz and USB 125Hz then how USB is faster?
And I can keep using this PS2 version as experienced no lag in CSGO as I play this and no delay. CAnt say about other keyboards but if I compare with my previous standard keyboard like Dell HP Compaq IBM. Its Better!

And I read somewhere 8.1 issue is that it capped mouse polling to 200Hz even if mouse firmware is set to 1000hz!

hard to tell what could be delaying your boot on win 8.1.

USB by default allows 125 but gaming gear is usually set at higher poll rates.

No idea on that 8.1 issue though no wonder so many ppl is against it for gaming.
