SteelSeries Rival 300 mouse tracking problems

I've recently been having a problem which many other people have reported, where my mouse just randomly stops tracking ingame. I feel like it happens when I lift my mouse, but it's probably just happening randomly. On top of this, I've been having trouble using mouse thumb buttons as PTT for in-game voice chat, where it would just frequently cut out. Discord works fine however. I've tried using different ports, uninstalling SSE and downgrading the version and disabling the lights, nothing seems to work and this is just getting frustrating.

Do you use a mouse pad? I have a 600 and I found it would stop if I used my old mousepad but using another surface has stopped that...
