I already own a g502 but I find that a never really use the extra buttons(dpi switch, profile switch, "sniper" button). If I even want to use the sniper button I have to move my hand in an uncomfortable angle to press it(I never really use it anyway).

The Rival however has all the buttons I really need and is lighter(although I do use 2 weights with my g502). It's dimensions are similar enough to the g502 and it has RGB illumination which is a plus.

I tend to use a palm grip and use 800 dpi with 2 sensitivity in CS:GO.

So either I keep my g502 or I sell it to a friend and get the rival instead.

If you use the Logitech software for config, nothing else is quite as good (razer has the functionality but their software is more bloated). If you're into the hardware and don't care about software, you'll need to test it to know. Mice are always a personal preference, nobody can tell you if it's good or not
