Hey all,

I am considering upgrading my Razer DeathAdder. Razer is crap. As such, 2 mice have caught my eye: the Steelseries Sensei Raw and the Steelseries Rival. I know the Rival is optical and the Sensei is laser, but the Rival's shape is all weird and it is longer than my DA2013. How noticeable is the acceleration, if at all noticeable? I play CS:GO and TF2 at a semi-competitive level and WoT and War Thunder casually. Is the Sensei at all bad? I have heard arguments from both sides, notably a good review from a good CS player saying the sensor isn't too bad unless you use very, very low sensitivity. Is this true?

Thanks!

Is this true? Do you use accel?

In the meantime, I can drop my own feedback on the Sensei Raw (I own one).
Acceleration is there if you want it to be, and it completely depends on Windows' settings.
Just disable it from there and use the SS utility to modify the DPI till you're comfortable, as suggested.
I used accel for a while, and usage on common applications was (obviously) top-notch; games, however, were a completely different subject (again, obviously 😛).

More calm and accurate games actually benefitted from it.
Twitch shooters? disable it. I practically doubled my scores since I did...
