Hi all. As the thread title says, I'm not sure how clean out the dust from my reference vanilla 7870 in my dell xps 8500, do I just take out the card from the PCI Express slot, blow some compressed air through the card fan then put it back in and it'll function as per usual? Please help.

That is all you need to do really. It depends really on the casing on the GPU. I have a XFX R7850 core edition and it has very little casing for maximized ventilation. As long as you can keep the fan dust free then you will be fine. If you can gain access to the heat sink to spray so compressed air then do it :)

You can do that.If you had a msi one.The fan would have rotated in the opposite direction cleaning the card then move in the right direction for cooling the gpu.
