I'm only playing on 1080p and should I just keep on my 780ti or get a gtx980.

gigabyte, zotac and gainward choices

But it cost me an extra 100$ if i sell my 780ti and upgrade.

but is it worth it? As im only playing on 1080p

Thanks :)

Solution
This is not worth it.
You have what is still one of the strongest cards available.
I understand that the 980 is better in most ways, but not by a lot.

I would only consider the upgrade if you`re playing on a 1080p 120 or 144Hz monitor. If you are not reaching your monitor limit currently, and you`re sure that the 980 will do that, it could be a reason for it.

Still, you`re set with th 780TI, so stick with it.
Currently I can only dream to get the performance you`re getting :)

Simple Answer -NO!!
performance gain of GTX 980 doesn't justify $100, if you can over-clock your GTX 780ti, chances are the difference in performance won't be more than 5% or in some cases will be better than GTX 980.
rather save and go for a 2560 by 1440 monitor, you will actually be tapping into your card's full performance....better if you can go for ROG swift....that's my 2 cents.
hope it helps...
