[SOLVED] Stick with the good ole 212 workhorse?

Been outa the loop since ddr3 was a thing. Building a 2k AMD gaming rig, chose the fx 9590. Getting either air cooled, or closed liquid, depending on whats left over. but assuming i go air cooled, any reason not to go with the good ole 212 evo? Goin with the fx 9590. aint picked anything else yet. Gonna go single gpu, 1tb ssd+hdd, either 32 or 64 gb ram. Low high end amd gpu. Filltered mid case (i smoke)
 
Solution
I used a Hyper 212 on a 2700X and it was fine, thermally. The aspect that weighed most in my decision to water cool was the rangy and loud fan. Cooling wasn't so much insufficient as loud.

FX-9590?

WHY?

That is easily in the top 3 worst CPUs foisted on the public this century. Possibly #1.
And it is an 8 year old item.
