Got a used Xeon 2630 v4 on eBay and it has that sticker, as seen on the photo. Will the CPU work with that on. Seems impossible to remove.

Personally, I would remove it(just me)

What sort of warranty is the vendor offering on a used CPU that Intel isn't? DOA refund?

I mean it appears it is not going to be in physical conflict with the contacts. As long as it can handle the heat stress you could leave it but it would annoy me to no end just knowing it is there.

Yes, DOA refund. But if the sticker does not interfere with the operation of the cpu, i will just leave it there. I am afraid of damaging the contacts in the procedure of trying to remove it. It has quite strong adhesive.

I'd probably remove it, not sure why they put it there. Maybe to assist them with returns figuring the sticker will tear if tampered with and that way people can't ship them back an identical cpu they already fried and claim 'doa'. Without the sticker they would assume you already had the cpu and weren't returning the one they actually sold.
