Hello everyone!

So, I am eventually going to build a dedicated XP machine and got an Intel Pentium 965 Extreme for cheap. It is used and from a well regarded ebay seller. It came in today with a small paper sticker of sorts (think of a cheap price tag) on the center of the underside. It is not touching any of the contacts, just the middle section with all the..blocky bits.

Do I need to remove it or is it fine where it is? I really do not want to dig around with my fingernails too much.

Thanks!

It would probably be a good idea to remove it, as it is most likely just an identification sticker. You can remove it with your fingers, just use an alcohol cleaner to clean it after to remove oils you might have left behind.

So fiddling in the area won't be a problem? As you can probably have guessed, I've had a "do not touch" policy around the important bits of a cpu!

No pins (LGA) but I'll do my best! I wish I knew what those other components on the underside were called...
