Sticky marks on screen from tape.

I used sticky tape with some bubble wrap to protect my monitor a while ago. Problem is that the tape has left marks that are noticeable. They don't come with a damp cloth. The marks are on the screen [attaching photos] and seem settled.

The stickiness has dried and it's like little chunks on top of the glass.

I'm worried that trying some foreign liquid will destroy the screen. Please help.

did you try to use screen cleaner .

try rubbing alcohol.

@scout_03 what kind of screen cleaner?

and @ffg7 I'll go buy some. a tiny amount of hydrogen peroxide, but I can go buy some.

the issue is that it's crusty and bits of small physical deposit on top of the screen.

scout_03, that might not work depending on what the adhesive is made from. I usually use wd40 to remove adhesives from computer cases & other computer components but can't remember if I ever did it on a screen.
