Still high temps after getting a cooler?

So I recently got Arctic Freezer 7 Pro as a cooler since I couldn't get something more expensive, and the temps don't really satisfy me AT ALL... -_-

I have an AMD FX 6300 and I used to have a stock cooler, and let's get for example GTA V as an example, with the stock cooler after half an hour of play the temps were up to 70...
Now with the cooler the temps are around 66 or 67?? Why?

The cooler is facing the GPU but the air kinda goes through the top because I felt it...I have a Zalman Z3 Plus and its a medium tower and I couldn't get the cooler to face the rear of it neither the top....
So...what's the matter... I didn't really want the temps to go more than 50 or even 55....
Also the noise actually satisfies me, its quiet and it won't spin more than 2200 rpm just like they said on the website..but the temp...>>

Its a low end cooler meant to be a replacement for the stock cooler and be more silent whilst also lowering the temps a bit. The hyper 212 would have been the best choice. These are normal temps for the freezer 7.

You can try taking the cooler off and putting it back on, but using better thermal paste and less of it. (You don't need more than the size of a small pea)

Otherwise as stated above, you want to make sure you have good airflow through the case and the cooler. You can try to use more aggressive fan profiles either in the BIOS or in software if you want better temps but don't mind a louder cooler.

Other than that, not much can be done. That cooler is fairly small, and only has so much metal to dissipate the heat over.
