Still Lagging..................

my PC still lags.....
I bought new ATI Radeon HD 4770 card.
my pc laggs while playing COD 6,FIFA10,NFS shift.....
For 7-8 sec.it smooths, again for 7-8 sec.it laggs......
So tell me wht will b the possible reasons.
my system speci. are:
AMD athlon 64x2 dual core 5200 2.7Ghz
2 GB DDR2 RAM.
MOBO:Assus M2N-MX SE PLUS
m using AVG 9.0 total security
also m using internet connection. is this affect my gaming???
I play all GAMES on 1024x768 resolution..
plz help me.....

Yeah if they are lagging online only, it could be your personal network or internet connection. Sometimes if you use wireless it lags alot.

If it lags in single player as well, you need to turn down your graphic settings a little. COD (try turning on Vsync).

ONLY IF UR PLAYING ONLINE WITH A SLOW INTERNET IT MAY LAG, BUT IF IS OFFLINE THEN IT COULD BE UR RAM,U MIGHT NEED A HIGHER FREQUENCY RAM AND JUS MAYBE A BIT MORE....

They forget to clean their keyboard after a session of pushing some nude videos over the interwebs.
Thus the caps lock key is stuck.


OP, what is your internet?
ISP?
Wired or Wireless?
If wired, how? Ethernet? If wireless, how? 802.11n? What router?

If this is happening online and off, it could even be a very old harddrive. I've had the same type of 7-8 second lag a couple years back which was caused by an old harddrive that couldn't keep pace.

Lag is caused by a slow internet connection, not by hardware.
