Stock Android on Samsung tablet

Hallo everyone
I Have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, and iv'e been patiently waiting for an update. Sadly, Samsung abandoned the pro line up along time ago. But recently i thought about bringing it back to life with rooting it, and loading up a fresh install of Android. I've been searching around, but all guides lead to cyanogenmod. This wouldn't be an issue, IF cyanogenmod was still supported. I can't find anywhere to download it.
So help me out here! Am i missing something? Does anyone know any good alternatives to cyanogenmod? i'd like to keep it as stock as possible

cyanogenmod is over, there is this now

there is lots of roms for such tablet on xda developers forums, also in htc mania

but if devs are not interested in them, don't expect anything new

also remember that a new rom might work well but some parts will not work well, gpu, camera, stuff like that so be sure to learn and have the original rom and a way to install it before attempting to install custom roms on it

if you are going to dig a hole, better to know how to get out of the hole
