So after building my pc yesterday I have learned my motherboard came broken. I have a stock cooler over my processor with thermal paste in between. I cannot remove the processor from the motherboard without taking the stock cooler off which is pasted to it with thermal paste. What do I do? Thanks.

Thanks to everyone who helped (kinda) I'm done.

Thanks, but it feels like it's glued on. Will pulling it off damage the processor at all?

Yes, mounting clips are undone, but the I built the pc yesterday and only found out that the motherboard is broken today. Is it safe to pull of the stock cooler?

Give it a twist first then pull off.

Alright, thanks. My processor will be fine after right? I'm nervous becasue this is my first build and I don't want to break anything myself.

That would be the moderation team's job. Being we get thousands of posts an hour the rules are there for a reason.

Alright. Just kinda new and don't want to mess anything up, I bet you can relate.
