stock cooling okay for normal use?

Planning a I7 4790 purchase retail box. If I'm not overclocking will the stock cooler be effective enough for medium gaming, video editing, game production, and the like?

The stock cooler will work fine for those things. If you are not overclocking because you need stable operation, you might consider a Xeon e3 series chip. You could save a little money and get the same performance as a non-overclocked i7.

Thanks so much! I was planning to get the 4.0 ghtz model. Doesn't look like the Xeons are up that 4.0 ghtz yet.
