Hi, I have a Intel Core I7 8700 (not K). And when i open task manager to see the speed, it shows 4.20Ghz, I am pretty sure that a stock Intel I7 8600 doesn't normally run at that clock speed.
mostly because on Intels website It says that the maximun is 4Ghz.

Thanks :).

Link to where you see this? The i7 8700t has a max boost of 4.0, but the regular i7 8700 is a max boost of 4.6.

Could you check what you have? You've told us two CPUs, one which doesn't exist, and the CPU that does exist (the 8700) has a 3.2 GHz base that can turbo up to 4.6 GHz.

Yeah, i have a 8700 not T. But i haven't overclocked it. But it still shows at 4.2Ghz. And how do i get it up to 4.6gGhz if that's possible?
