Hi,

I'm planning on building my first gaming rig at Christmas/New Year and I want to know if the stock fans in a Fractal Design Define R4 would keep my components cool under load. If they would struggle, the fans I have in mind are the Corsair AF120/140 QE. I understand that the cooler the electrics the better, but I'm on a budget and want to save money where possible.

My build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/MrsAverageMan/saved/6r3gXL

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have the Fractal Design R2 Midi. It came with 140mm Stock fans, they were fine and still are. I recently upgraded a few to the Corsair AF140mm but o ly because I wanted some Red LED's. However, I had no trouble with stock fans.

I have
i5 2500k 3.3Ghz
GTX 780Ti 3GB
ASUS P8 z77 LX
8GB RAM
240 SSD + 2TB sata + 500GB data

Not as good as yours but my CPU never goes above 48 and GPU never above 50.

That's good to hear. Thank you. If I have enough would it be worth adding extra fans to cool the parts down more or would it be overkill?
