stock i7-3770K + single GTX 980 = bottleneck?

Hey I was wondering if my 3770K at stock speeds (3.5/3.9GHz) would bottleneck a single GTX 980 running games at only 1080p? the version I'm going to get is the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 G1 Gaming 4GB, am I restricting the GPU's true power if I don't overclock my CPU as it is?

No, no bottleneck whatsoever. Very powerful CPU you have there.

depends on your monitor , for 60hz your monitor will bottleneck your system !! ... !
maybe if you have 144hz monitor your cpu can prevent your GPU to rich above 100 frame in some games !!

3770k would not bottleneck even 980 SLI. Stop worrying about it...

my "27 monitor's native res is 1920x1080 @ 60 hz, so I am bottle necking myself with the monitor haha but I don't mind since I'm happy with just 60 fps

I had an i7 3770k at 4.5MHz and an EVGA GTX 980 Superclocked and even had an "27" Asus Monitor 144MHz and i don't get 60 fps at all, maybe some games like Elite Dangerous is the only game it really runs over 60fps but most of them less the 60fps with a 1080p, am I running something wrong?
