Don't really know which section to post this but I guess it counts as a "eduational" one if anyone ever answers my inquiries about anyone knowing a stock market software where I can look up stock market prices offline (historical prices) and such

"Offline"? I trust you mean just being able to look back at a stock history for past performance information etc....

Paid or free?

There are many free online sites that allow you to search for stock data/information and history. Time frames are usually selectable with a click on the desired time span. And/or there may be a custom range option via some calendar range window.

However, many such sites serve up lots of adds and tend to be sluggish. And may or may not be delayed.

Or you can join if you are willing to provide personal/financial information.

If you own stock or have some retirement fund accouts you may be able to go to the account website to get details about your existing stocks and sometimes other stocks as well...

Or for paid:

Lots of options.

I have TD Ameritrade access. Plus stock market access via two other accounts.

User friendliness and the historical results format vary a great deal. Try a few free sites to get a sense of what you need and like.

Then narrow down to software that matches as best as possible.

Thank you for replying thought I'd never get any kind of answer for this kind of software

free or if there is no alternate paid just enough to see past historical prices and draw various charts graphs on it with some annotations this should be pretty basic right? and the reason for asking for this is because I want to have a 2nd-3rd party way of analyzing the markets not just the ones given to me by my "trusted" online broker

out of curiosity where can we look at news for the various companies? other than reading it from forbes, business insider, bloomberg in the like?
