I'm building a gaming PC for my daughter. Here is the current build.

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor $309.00
Motherboard - Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard $308.04
Memory - G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $119.00
Storage - Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $139.99
Video Card - Asus GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB TUF GAMING Video Card $1535.00
Case - Lian Li Lancool II Mesh ATX Mid Tower Case $125.99
Power Supply Corsair RM (2021) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $135.00

I have no plans to overclock. Do i need to upgrade the built in cooler for the 5600X? Can I go with an Air Cooler? Do i need any AIO.?

What air Cooler will fir in this case and is there a source that will tell me what will fit? I know about the Noctua D15, but not certain it will fit.

Thanks

Solution
"Do i need to upgrade the built in cooler for the 5600X?"
More or less, because of RTX 3080 and noise profile.

"Can I go with an Air Cooler? Do i need any AIO.?"
Yes. No.

"What air Cooler will fir in this case and is there a source that will tell me what will fit?"
PCPartpicker, for the most part. It's not perfect though - then again, nothing is.

"I know about the Noctua D15, but not certain it will fit."
See below:
Lancool II Mesh max air cooler clearance: 176mm.
NH-D15, in the default position: 165mm. Front fan sits over ram - clearance of 32mm. Must be raised for every mm over that.
Ripjaws V is 42mm tall. Front fan now needs to be raised 10mm.
NH-D15 new height: 175mm. Just fits.
Note, not all dual tower air...

Stock cooler is fine if not overclocking but fan is noisy. If ambient temps can get a little warm, 25c~30c then aftermarket would be preferable.

D15 will fit with first fan raised for ram clearance. I have similar case, Mesh performance (same width 229mm) with D15 and Gskill Neos 4.32cm height ram and side panel just closes without touching. Your ram is 4.2cm tall.

Thanks I’m glad to hear of someone with a similar case. Clearance is a bit close. :giggle:
