volkgren :
Different motherboards have different amounts of voltage at stock. I recommend 1.2V instead of stock for better temps. Stock (Auto) is usually higher than that. Somewhere between 1.26-1.32V is what I've seen with my i7-7700K when left on Auto. Well, that's with Turbo enabled to 4.5GHz.
It's a GA-Z170XP-SLI Rev1 with a Noctua DH-14 , Arctic Silver 5 Thermal paste. Fresh install Win 10 Pro. an 850 PRO 512 SSD. SP900 512 GGB SSD. 2 TB ST2000 HDD, 2x8GB DDR 4 RipJaws V 3000mhz Ram C15. Gtx 970.
I tried to overclock the CPU to 4.7GHz at 1.34v but it's not saving for some reason. I load back defaults but it didn't reset the Vcore.
Any idea how to overclock on this particular motherboard ?
Thanks in advance,
