Hi.

I've recently been overclocking my CPU, an i7 4790k

I am stability testing with aida64.
i was testing with 1.35 volt at 4.7ghz, it seemed to be stable because i had never crashed while testing.

I was playing some games, crysis 3, battlefield 4 and after like 10 minutes i bsod.
i thought well maybe its not stable. so i bumped op core volt to 1.385 but still crashes while it remains stable with aida 64.

What do you guys think could be the problem? i also disables gpu's overclock to rule out that being a problem.

Thanks.

I tried again and got another BSOD with code; STOP; 0x00000124
i keep reading it's cpu heat or hardware related online, but my cpu never hotter than 70/80.
What do you mean by directX patch? i have downloaded the latest drivers for my gpu's yesterday or so.
